This is open to any and all swimmers in the Metro North East Area, no membership required.

As part of a range of development initiatives SMNE is providing support to our area's National Age & Open representatives. Starting on the 8th April- every day of Nationals from 9:30am - 1:30pm SMNE National representatives will be able to book in for a 20 minute appointment on pool deck with a qualified massage therapist from the team at the Gold Coast Physio.
Thanks to the SMNE subsidy appointments will cost only $10.

Over a beautiful & hot weekend of the 18th & 19th March we had 55 swimmers Age and Open National qualifiers attend development sessions with the aim of fine-tuning race skills, experiencing outdoor conditions and increasing team bonding within the area prior to national championships on the Gold Coast.
This was achieved through fun – skilled based sessions with swimmers working on starts, turns and finishes, head to head race-pace work ,relays and a BBQ breakfast.
The Age sessions were held at Lane Cove Aquatic Centre with Coaches Sam Argue (NBSC) and Sandi Edwards (WASC) leading 2 sessions
The Open session was held at Manly Andrew Boy Charlton Swim Centre with Coaches Leanne Speechley (KPSC) and Justin Rothwell (MANL) leading the session. Congratulations to two of our area swimmers for selection onto the AUS JNR Open Water Squad who are attending a training camp in the Sunshine Coast over the next 4 days. Just 16 swimmers in total, 4 from NSW! Also selected on the coaching team SMNE President and WASC head coach Cameron Gledhill. Great achievement by you all.
