Swimming NSW has launched its HIGH PERFORMANCE CLUB PROGRAM - a strategic initiative designed to recognise clubs that consistently demonstrate excellence in athlete development, coach development and championship performance.
We are incredibly proud that THREE of the selected High Performance Clubs are from the SMNE Area!
The program is about more than recognising success. It is about strengthening the high-performance network across New South Wales and creating stronger connections between Swimming NSW, Swimming Australia, NSWIS and leading clubs.
By complementing the existing High Performance Centres, this program recognises the critical role that clubs play in developing not only athletes, but also coaches and future Australian representatives.
This is a wonderful recognition of the quality of coaching, athlete development and high-performance environments being created within our Area.
As we build towards LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032, the pathway to international success starts right here, with the work being done every day on pool decks across New South Wales.
Success on the world stage doesn’t happen overnight. It is built through collaboration, commitment and a shared vision between athletes, coaches, clubs and the broader swimming community.
Together, we are building something special.

SMNE 15/Over Touring Team | ACT Winter Championships
What a weekend for our inaugural SMNE 15/Over Touring Team!
19 swimmers | 2 coaches | 1 team manager | 118 events | 2 days
Taking on the ACT Winter Championships at the AIS, our team came together not just to race, but to learn, challenge themselves and continue their development as swimmers.
At SMNE - the #1 Area - we are passionate about providing opportunities that help our swimmers continue their progression, not only in the short term, but well into the future.
This weekend was all about IMPROVEMENT.
And improvement isn`t just about the time on the clock.�It’s about the things that happen along the way - race execution, learning from each swim, resilience, confidence, supporting teammates and finding ways to get better every time we dive in.
The past two days were all about putting that into practice and building towards the new season. 💪
And there were some fantastic results along the way:
🥇 9 Gold�🥈 6 Silver�🥉 14 Bronze
But perhaps more importantly, 118 opportunities to learn, improve and grow.
A huge congratulations to all 19 swimmers for representing SMNE with such pride, and a massive thank you to our coaches and team manager for supporting the team throughout the weekend. And a huge thank you to our coaches Blake and Jacob for their amazing guidance and support!

SMNE is proud to be supporting our 1st Age Touring Team to the ACT SC Championships.
A 19 strong team will head to the nations capital, supported by SMNE coaches Blake and Jacob and team manager Ariel.
Swimmers were selected from Age national results with the aim of this meet to help athletes progress to finals at next years Age nationals.
