What a huge 3 days at the Australian Open Swimming Championships (6–8 April) at Gold Coast Aquatic Centre! 💙💛
The SMNE Area was proudly represented by 8 clubs and 35 swimmers, competing across an impressive 96 individual events. The effort, commitment, and team spirit on display were outstanding from start to finish.
A special shoutout to Manly, who delivered strong relay performances with 5 teams finishing in the Top 10, and bringing home a fantastic 🥉 bronze medal!
From personal bests to finals appearances, it was an event full of growth, resilience, and great racing. Well done to all swimmers, coaches, and supporters, your hard work is paying off!

Introduced this year, the Triple C Cup recognises and celebrates clubs dedicated to developing multi-class swimming across Australia.
The Cup is proudly named in honour of three defining figures in Australia’s Paralympic swimming movement
🌟 Daphne Ceeney – Australia’s first female Paralympian
🌟 Matt Cowdrey – Australia’s most successful Paralympic swimmer
🌟 Ellie Cole – Australia’s most decorated female Paralympian
