MEET INFORMATION
MEET ENTRIES: – Entries via SWIM CENTRAL or email meetdirector@smne.org.au for non-members – include the training location and age of your swimmer.
AGE OF SWIMMER – For the entire series (ie Heats and Finals) the age of the swimmer will be as at 31st January, 2026. All swimmers must be 8,9,10,11,12 or 13 as at 31st January, 2026. For clarification, Swimmers who turn 8 after 31st January are not permitted to swim.
NO PARENTS PERMITTED ON POOL DECK (this includes marshalling area, warm up area, coaching area and athlete bathrooms).
For clarification: parents are asked to remain in the spectator stands at all times. For safety and meet management reasons, parents should not be on the pool deck, as this may result in their swimmer being scratched.
If your swimmer needs your help, they can come upstairs to see you—please don’t go downstairs onto the pool deck. We’ll also have Senior swimmers available to mentor and support the younger ones, easily identifiable in the SMNE Blue T-Shirts. If your child is feeling anxious, please let one of the Senior swimmers know so they can provide extra reassurance and assistance.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
I missed the closing cut off date/time can I request a late entry?
Late entries are not permitted at SMNE meets regardless of the circumstance.
My swimmer doesn’t have the required QT can we still enter under a manual time?
Manual entries are not accepted for Summer Champs, Winter Champs or the 200IM at the Speedo 13U Sprint meet. There is no QT required to enter the 50m & 100m events at Speedo Sprints 13/U meet. If your coach has determined you are suitable for the MNE Distance meet you may discuss options with your coach who may get in touch with me for manual entry consideration.
When will the timeline be published?
After the meet has closed. It is impossible to predict the time of an event prior to the meet closing as timing always depends on how many people enter a particular event. The timeline is a guideline only and subject to change.
How can I check my swimmer’s entries?
Log into Swim Central and either click on the Events section or Order History from your home page.
Can I telephone someone with my questions?
All of our behind-the-scene staff are volunteers, many balancing these responsibilities alongside full-time work commitments. Swimming administration is managed in their own personal time, so we kindly ask that you patiently communicate via email as phone calls are not possible.
