Saturday 6th March saw 102 SMNE swimmers swim 236 races including 8 relays. The SMNE team consisted of 54 girls and 48 boys between the ages of 8 and 13 from 15 Clubs in the SMNE Area. Our highly successful Team in blue managed to win 14 Gold medals, 18 Silver medals, 12 Bronze medals and numerous top 10 placings not to mention all the PBs that were being smashed left, right and centre! Our powerful relay teams won 5 of the 8 relays, and came 2nd in 2 relays.
2021 was another exciting year for 102 Speedo Sprint swimmers who battled 824 other competitors at SOPAC from 11 other Areas across NSW with the final overall result of 2nd place, a massive effort considering the Area that won had representatives from 35 Clubs in their Area!
Huge thanks to the coaches who gave up yet another weekend to help all our swimmers, an enjoyable day was had by all!
