The first weekend of Winter saw a fantastic attendance of around 570 athletes compete in over 2500 races and 10 teams compete in 8 relay events, our largest contingent in many years! The competition at SOPAC was fierce with numerous PBs and 22 records broken! It was great to see a whole lot of new faces both in and out of the water as well. What an amazing achievement and a great time was had by all.
It’s so awesome to see our Technical Official numbers steadily increasing with each meet. At this meet we had enough TOs to have IOTs appointed for the first time in SMNE history. There were many successful assessments undertaken over the weekend and we would like to take this time to thank our amazing technical officials and volunteers for your help in running this meet. Without you, our swimmers would not be given this opportunity to compete and earn State and National times.
