2024 was another exciting year for our 103 Speedo Sprint finalists who battled nearly 1000 other competitors at SOPAC from 12 Areas across NSW with the final overall result of 3rd place, a massive effort considering our Area has less than half the amount of Clubs when compared with the other Metro Areas.
Saturday 2nd March saw 53 girls and 50 boys between the ages of 8 and 13 from 12 Clubs in the SMNE Area compete in 198 races including 8 relays. Our highly successful Team in blue managed to win 7 Gold medals, 7 Silver medals, 7 Bronze medals and numerous top 10 placings not to mention National times and all the PBs that were being smashed left, right and centre! Our powerful relay teams earned 2 Gold, 3 Silver 1 bronze and came 4th and 5th in the other 2 relays.
Huge thanks to the coaches and to our Team Managers Vu Kwan and Ariel Darley who gave up yet another weekend to help all our swimmers, an enjoyable day was had by all!
